Meet Rockwall’s 2016 Masquerade Ball Committee Member
Volunteers dedicate their time and talent to our Clubs every day. We couldn’t meet our goals and provide the programs we do without their support.
We spoke with Leslie Cunningham, who’s volunteered countless hours on our Rockwall Masquerade Ball committee. Leslie was born and raised in Rockwall. She’s a devoted wife, mom of 3, an entrepreneur, and volunteers her time to the community she loves any chance she gets!
1.Why is the Boys & Girls Club important to you?
The Boys & Girls Club is very important to me because I have a passion for helping others. I truly want everyone to live a life that they love. The Boys & Girls Club makes it easy for families to work while knowing their kids are at a safe place and enjoying themselves.
2.How did you get involved with the Boys & Girls Club?
I was asked by Mallory Laremore to be a part of the Masquerade Ball committee a few months ago. I instantly wanted to help make the Gala a huge success. The club is not very well known by many and I wanted to make a difference and change that. By being a part of the committee I am able to raise awareness to local businesses, friends, & families who may have not known the club existed.
3. What do you want people to know about the Boys & Club of Rockwall?
I would like the community to know the donations that the Boys & Girls club receives from the gala is what keeps the club open. It is what pays for the healthy snacks the kids enjoy. A safe place for kids to go after school and not get into trouble is wonderful! I feel blessed to be apart of this adventure. I can’t wait to see what this year holds for the Boys & Girls Club of Rockwall!
